| My 22" 120hz CRT monitor is getting old and uses a lot of power. To reduce my average electricity consumption, I'm thinking of buying a new monitor. But I am not still using a CRT for nothing, so I'm a bit anxious about getting a flatscreen. Currently looking at the Iiyama ProLite GB2773HS-1, probably gonna buy it tomorrow. www.iiyama.com/gl_en/products/prolite-gb2773hs-1/ | |

Make sure to get a duel link dvi cable, the normal ones won`t work with that monitor. Thanks for the tip. Did not think about that. Was planning on using the old vga cable. But from what I read, I now understand it's better to use a correct cable. Just found out the monitor comes with dual link dvi cable, so I dont have to order a loose one. | |

| Using the new screen now. Still haven't had the big test, a few hours quakelive. So far so good. BUT... 2 pixels are f'd up. 1 hot and 1 lazy or dead , meaning the screen has to be returned anyway. Got pixelwarranty so no worries there. In the meanwhile i'm testing the screen to see if i want to trade for a different one or my money back. Although the crt is getting old and uses a lot of power, it still produces better picture. (My crt is high-end model, which I got relatively cheap) However if quake plays fine, I think I will trade. | |

| Back on my old crt again. Packed up the Iiyama for shipment back to the store, with the intention to trade for one wthout bad pixels. Hooked up my old monitor. Then made the decision the Iiyama sucks and I want my money back. The old crt produces a much better quality picture and refreshrate. | |
