Flight simulator for the worlds fastest ever plane (that we know about).
Fascinating to think this tech is over 50 years old.

Not one digital cockpit instrument, everything analogue.
Those shadeflaps in the cockpit and bendable desklamps. Surprised
Was also surprised about the tiny periscope to see behind the plane.

Hard to imagine the thing is 50 years old already.

How the hell do you insert an image into a reply on here?  I've got a nice cheesy picture of me in a Blackbird cockpit.

Oh  ffs Is that big enough?

That was in the Museum of Flight in Seattle.  They've got a Blackbird in there and this cockpit next to it that you can sit in.  It's really cramped in there.  The X-men films are all lies.  Incidentally I had a monumental hangover that day.

That's awesome.

And quite a small cockpit indeed, seeing it with you inside for comparison.
You don't look like a very big or large person, but you barely fit.

5' 7"... god knows how they flew for hours at a time in what were pretty much space suits.  Given how big the rest of the plane is, I was really surprised at how confined it was in there.
