How to shoot a long exposure hyper lapse with your DSLR

I don't have a ND filter yet, but will get one soon.

Been filming random clouds lately, for making a highspeed clouds video.
Quality is not super awesome, bit of flickering here and there, still working on that.
But I got a few very nice shots. Will post some results in a while.

I tried uploading the clouds-video to youtube several times, but youtube keeps scewing up the framerate and giving choppy results.
Have rendered the clip with different framerates, but that doesn't seem to help. It runs fine on my pc, only after uploading it is almost unwatchable choppy.
It could also be Firefox, cause in IExplorer it runs a lot smoother. Or maybe it is because I just uploaded it and its still processing in the background.
I'll wait a bit to see if it gets better, otherwise I will try uploading to Vimeo. If that too fails I will post the video with choppiness anyway.
