It won't work, the only way (we know), is use the hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell, what is tought but possible, deeper you look it would be fission, than it will be fusion. Why??? On chemical lvl here is no stronger known bind than hydrogen atom + oxygen atom. 'Than we can crack atom to realase more energy, and yet we can bind protons to build up helium. Altho there are quantium effects we haven't discovered yet. Probably they will let us to draw an energy out of atomium self. But this is more Star-Trek than real science, what does not mean that Benjamin Franklin, or Fermi were wrong, it just needs time.
