Watched back some old videos from the early beginning when I just started flying. lol!
Made a quick video for comparison. Smile

On a serious note..: Look at the grass. scratch Both vids are made in the same week of june. Last year the grass was higher and plenty, this year half of it is dead.

Thought it was only in my garden the grass was growing badly, but apparently not. Suspect

WoW ! the first thing I was going to comment on is that the grass
seems longer a year ago.

Really strange watching the difference in flying from a year ago

You can clearly see the confidence you have a year later in your flying, much improved, nice one...
Is that the same quad + upgrades?
cool

I've got some serious catching up to do, been busy last couple of weeks, need to get some air miles clocked up soon-like...

Shame we don't live close, that field is perfect for setting up a small tracks with some race hoops or whatever they're called.

Yes very careful in the beginning, didn't want to brake my new stuff.  Smile
Pretty amazing how I went from no experience at all, not even soldering, to building my own quads and fly like a bird, in just over a year.  Surprised

First half of the video I'm flying my RTF Eachine racer 250, this is after a few weeks of practicing with my first ever rc model.

Second half is 1 year later with my self build 5"quad. (KissFC/24aESC's, EmaxRB2600kv, 5x4x4props)

A year ago it was knee high, this year only 1/3 of that. No idea if it is normal, maybe it is because of the late frost this year.
Though it wasn't particularly bad, I'd expect grass can handle a little frost. Other options could be drought, UV damage, pollution?
