As painless says.....the people who cause trouble and act irresponsively will just ignore all this and carry on doing stupid stuff like flying dangerously and near restricted airspace, these are the same fucking turds that shine lazers at aeroplane pilots and throw acid at people.

Agreed, hate the idea, notice these bodies who create these regulations, don't usually ask the people that have been flying for years for advice, or in fact use any actual quantifiable data that clearly shows there is virtually no danger whatsoever.
For the most part, the people flying know exactly what they're doing and don't want to risk being prosecuted for anything so fly responsibly without prompting anyway...
I would also bet DJI have something to do with this too, they are the sort of company that lobbies these bodies to increase regulation, it's in their interest as they've already got Geo-fencing, restrictions on where you an fly, registration, restricted flight protocols that only they are privy to etc.... DJI's ideal outcome is that people can only fly their products, and every other manufacturer is out of business. It's about money yet again, not safety...
I see nothing wrong with rules regarding Airports, or top secret/restricted areas or prisons etc, but don't take the piss. They tried to ban the Hula Hoop in the fifties, all that hip gyrating, disgusting and immoral!!!
It won't get that bad, but it may go some way to being tougher to fly officially though. I'd like to see them try to police it, or even try to catch me, feckers, you'd better be quick and able to duck in the blink of an eye.

That hand in drone story smells fake as fuck. Like getting bitten by a dog and calling for rules to ban all dogs. Or sticking your fingers in the blender, and then say 'I did not expect my fingers to get cut.' WTF is this dumb shit? The BBC photo looks acted, who makes such a stupid photo of himself? Look at me with my pouty face and bandaids on my hand.
This man needs to get lobotomised quickly to prevent him doing harm to himself and others.
