For that money you can also buy: a radiotransmitter with crossfire range extender, bnf quadcopter, FPV goggles, and a couple of props and batteries. Smile

Otherwise, if money isn't an issue, no reason for me to say not to do it.

Like mucky said maybe look around a bit for a better deal.

For that money, don't you rather upgrade to a Phantom 4 Advanced?

Read this, before clicking that buy button: https://myfirstdrone.com/blog/dji-mavic-pro-vs-phantom-4-pro-drone-better

Quote :
For 20% of the population, you might want to consider the Phantom 4 Pro or Phantom 4 Advanced since the camera is better (when viewed side-by-side) than the Mavic. Plus, the added sensors can save you one day if you do a lot of proximity flying.
For the other 80% of the population, I think the Mavic Pro is going to be your best bet. It’s super compact, the camera is good enough to get amazing shots, it has the best live video feed I’ve ever seen on a drone, and it works perfectly with DJI Goggles.

From canners link...

I love the Mavic,it takes about 20 seconds to unfold it and the controller and turn both on.Yes it has a pissy little camera compared to the new Phantoms but it still works beautifully and the 3 way gimbal is fantastic.
Also sport mode feels and looks great with aeroplane mode on at the same time you can dive bomb like a Stuka !

Love that lighthouse cujo.

Nice spot for making epic FPV videos or just flying around. Smile

Would love to dive that lighthouse.

The videos look great, though some shots lasted too short. Should try shooting some extra time on good compositions/positions.
Like for example when shooting down on the beach with the rolling waves crashing next to the lighthouse. (4:26 of the first video)
That's something you could edit out later on, but then you need at least 20-30 seconds or more of footage.

Thought the drone was doing pretty well, though I did see it struggle sometimes.
No need to risk losing the drone ofcourse, but some photographers would risk their life for that one perfect shot.

If I got the chance, I would not waste 1 minute thinking about moving there. I'd be too busy packing my stuff.

Sandy Bottoms lol!

Personally I like pretty landscapes better then these houses, but fun to have a look from up there for once.
Amazing how much traffic is streaming constantly through that little town.

Aren't you worried getting fined for flying above that road or company terrain? Suspect
I don't want to be the one saying you shouldn't do that, but I'd hate to see you get in trouble for having a little fun. Smile

It is shocking to see how the enviroment has changed over the years, same for me when visiting the place I grew up.

I imagine the river used to be wider? Cause there is not much river left, it looks more like a ditch.

im worried about it being wifi controlled cause of the limited range that offers
with it states a 2 and a half mile range so that is good and will do me for now
it has way better specs than the mavic in lots of ways and the size of it is whats really selling it to me
...just not available yet lol...

Mavic #

Mavic air#

rear sensors   who flies backwards ?
better obstacle avoidance    no obstacles in the air
