Can't reach Oculus runtime service rant

FFS! Just wanted to use my OculusVR. Got some windows error message saying: Can't reach Oculus runtime service.
Tried unplugging everything and reinstalling the driver, but nothing worked. The headset still refused to start up.
I was worried thinking; oh no it is broken, or perhaps need to reinstall windows, maybe send it back.
As a last attempt to find out what was wrong I googled: Can't reach Oculus runtime service

Today Oculus decided to update and it never seemed to restart itself, now on manual start I'm getting the above error. Restarting machine and restarting the oculus service doesn't appear to work. The OVRLibrary service doesn't seem to start. Same issue on both my machine and my friend's machine who updated at the same time.
Edit: repairing removed and redownloaded the oculus software but this still didn't work.

So,you have to wait for an update fix from occulas I guess ?

Seems a pretty unprofessional mistake to make.

Yes, had to wait. Tried updating first thing this morning and the problem was fixed.
