This thing is 1800 lightyears away. So the supernova might already have happened 1800 years ago.
2022 is only an estimate, At this scale of time and distance, it is easy to be off a couple of years.
Maybe that glow I noticed on the SOHO LASCO2 satelite is coming from this supernova.
It's still increasing in brightness, though it is varying, over a longer period it is increasing.
