Announced on 7th January at the 235th American Astronomical Society Meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii, astronomers have found a giant wave of gas clouds very near the Sun in the Milky Way. It's been dubbed the "Radcliffe Wave". But how did it form? And what does this mean for the Sun and the solar system?
I'm curious about since when did the Solarsystem start to interact with this gas cloud, and how hot or cold is it? Till now I have not heard them say anything about the temperature, will have to search it for myself.
