I watched some of the gameplay footage and it does look very good. If i had the VR gear i would most likely get it.
Prices on the VR headsets have come down quite a bit. Although even today there still aren't that many really good games for it.
Will be nice trying the Oculus again, had a lot of disappointments with VR so far. The couple of games that do work well are super awesome, but too many games with bugs or bad gameplay.
Hopefully I won't get a heart attack from being jumped by one of those brain eating bugs.

Yesterday I bought and installed the game, but not played yet. Took over 2 hours to download and update everything.
Always these updates, that's part of what ruined the VR fun a little. In the beginning it was every other day or so the Oculus drivers needed to update. Which took about half an hour to complete due to slow download speed from Oculus website. Updates were mandatory, couldn't delay or postpone cause then the headset simply wouldn't work. So every time I wanted to play with the VR, I couldn't... had to wait 20-30 minutes and reconfigure after that. Thankfully it has improved now.

It wasn't cheap, but at least I'm having some fun with the VR headset again. The game is really awesome. Have to remind myself to breathe now and then. Managed to avoid the headcrabs so far, but who knows for how long...

Wasting money on a game that's no fun or buggy, is the worst. That's why I almost never buy games anymore. Glad this game works perfect and gives a good VR experience. Did not think about the money while playing, which says enough.

Was finally jumped by a headcrab last night. Automatically tried to push it away with my hands. It seemed to work, cause the headcrab came off again. But I don't know if that was because of me pushing or just part of the animation. Next time one jumpes on my head I'm going to wait and see what happens.

Yesterday I came to a part in the game were you needed a grenade to procede in the map. To prevent getting stuck they had put a grenade spawn nearby, spawning infinite grenades till the objective was completed. Can't store grenades in your backpack, can only carry 2, one in each hand. So I got the idea to grab a crate and fill it up with grenades, and it actually worked. I had like 40 grenades in the crate. Had to use both hands to carry it and be careful not to spill the grenades, but it made the next part of the map a lot easier.
