Dji FPV Bardwell review

I don't like it much. It looks okay, but everything else about sucks, specially for the price they're asking.
It flies like the Eachine Racer 250 from 4 years ago, and it only records in 1080p with the props in view.
It's as fragile as a Mavic and tricky to repair, and it's only compatible with special Dji batteries.
That was my short review of the new Dji FPV drone


Here's Bardwell's review:

The drone still records in 4k all the time,it is just the recording on
the card in the goggles that goes down to 1080 when the field of
view or whatever it is is changed.
the worst thing i see is how delicate it is,broke so easily when
Bardo hit the tree and it`s a solid model,no changing the arms
easily if one breaks


Even DJI fanboy Ken Heron was not impressed...

I searched between the specs at the Dji website, but could only find 1080p.
Seems like they updated the specs page since last time I visited, the page looks different now.
Now it does have max resolution and recording sizes.

It's like selling a brand new car and at the first speed bump the mirrors and exhaust pipe fall off.
Maybe it is done as safety feature, so when it crashes with a person the arm breaks to prevent injury.
But maybe it's just a marketing trick to get extra income from all the repairs.


btw Just saw in the specs that the battery alone weighs almost 300 grams.

It is certainly not a full experience FPV quad,more like a way for
them to give their userbase of movie drones a feeling of how FPV is
and to get some different feeling movie shots.

They could have done a lot better job, almost every recent cinewhoop flies better, and is a lot safer and stronger.
A cinewhoop doesn't break on the first crash and the propguards prevent injury on impact.
If only they had looked around a bit, they could have come up with something useful, instead of this soon to be 'paperweight'.
