THE THING 2011 UPDATE

SOME FANTASTIC NEWS. ALEC GILLIS AND TOM WOODRUFF ARE HANDLING THE FX. "IN A TRADITIONAL WAY" WHICH MEANS LITTLE OR NO CGI. THEY WANNA MAKE IT LOOK AND FEEL LIKE THE ORIGINAL! BUDGET HAS NOW BEEN INCREASED TO $38,000,000. OF WHICH APPROX. $11,000,000 WILL BE SPENT ON THE CREATURES!!! AWESOME

Hang on here,,,,u mean THE THING from the 80s? you mean they are doing a remake...OMG!!! keep me posted on this one!!! Thats an order!!

Hey it looks like a carry on from the first cause in the trailer they find an old hidden base by the looks of it,,,can u confirm this? if so is it really the long awaited thing 2. Or simply a remake and im forgetting something from the original sketch.

ok firsty m8...I am THE authority on films...so listen...Its a prequel set in the Norwegian camp that Mac(That's where my tag came from btw) discovers. We get to see how the Norwegians found the ship and ultimately THE THING. Also we get to see inside the huge ship they blew outta the ice. The cast is mainly foriegn except for a gorgeous female scientist. The film is widely reported as "DARK" and "HEAVY" which is good. The cast list and various updates are on the IMDB website. I subscribe to IMDB PRO so i see a bit more than u can...It has the task of trying to bring UNIVERSAL PICTURES out of the doldrums. Massive fan input has pretty much forced the studio to go back to "real-time" effects (rather than CGI) Unfortunately Rob Bottin (Google him!!!) will have no input on the effects,,,but the guys behind it are SHIT HOT. This is my FAVE ever and I get (Rarely) e@mails from a gaffer on the film...Any more Questions then I'm ur man

why do they use terms like TOP BILLED CAST, does that not sound like a bird with a broken beak? They should say "these are the actors" , its that simple.
