Sure don't feel like a so called budget lens very well built though i did buy the older version just has nicer ergonomics in my opinion....

Lens looks very nice. How's the focusring, as smooth and precise as it looks? The one on my Canon 55-250 is a bit brackish, which makes manual focussing difficult.

I'm real suprised at how well made this lens is canner its def sturdier and more solid than the sigma also has a metal mount I think the newer version has the plastic the auto focus is fine bit noisy but who cares about that unless u sneaking up on a bigfoot lol so have to say I'm very happy with it :-) oh the focus ring is pretty good not to loose or to tight..take some long range stuff when the weather better..
