| Made a few pics of my molten numpad keys. The pictures show 2 different keyboards, both with warped keys. This is not done with a cigarette or otherwise, this is caused by my fingers and gaming hard.Think the warping is from static electricity generated by moving my fingers over the plastic, but I'm not sure. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Above picture is the keyboard I use now, it is about 2,5 years old.
The pictures below are from my old keyboard. (numpad 4 is the taunt button, 8 is gauntlet ) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

| That is a lot of heat generated through your fingers or are the keys illuminated ? and your fingers are holding the heat in from the LED`s ? | |

and your fingers are holding the heat in from the LED`s ? There are no LEDs under the keys on both keyboards. The keys themselves never get hot, the heat must be on a microscale. I think it has to do with static electricity from the friction, thousands of tiny, lightning like, electrical discharges from my finger to the keys, is what's making them warp over time. But maybe it is not just from the friction, just guessing. Canner the key bender, Bending keys like Uri Geller

Maybe I could warp the entire keyboard. Never tried to bend stuff on purpose though. Actually find it a bit weird this is happening. Trying to find a scientific explanation, but not sure if that makes sense.

That is another option yes, had not thought of that. Searched google for warped or molten keys, but found nothing like mine. I expected to find more pics on the internet if it is a common thing.

| I see this quite a lot on heavily-used keyboards at work. Might be a combination of sweat and friction wearing away the keys. | |

I also think sweat and friction might be the cause. It is the most logical. Only one thing that remains a bit strange. The keyboard I used before the 2 shown on the pics, does not have warped keys at all, just that the more used keys are a little smoother then the rest. It's the exact same type as the one on the last 2 pics, and I used that keyboard 3-4 years before it broke down. I certainly did a lot more gaming back then, so it should have warped like the others.

| They don't make stuff like they used to. Could be the newer one was made in a different country, cheaper plastics, who knows? | |

Pretty sure both are from the same manufacturer and plastic. The brand appears to be discontinued cause the website is gone, it was a sidebrand from Samsung called Pleomax.
