Yes, wasn't expecting hairs to grow spontaniously, out of 2 metals. I wonder what the hairy stuff is made of, since there doesn't seem to disappear much from both the aluminum and the mercury.

I wonder if a lot of these strange artifacts on Mars are just chemical reactions between gases rising from the surface.I think it`s very possible after these videos on youtube.

Was thinking the same, and that is probably how a lot of those weird shapes are formed. But I've also been looking at dried or fossilised mud and lava as a reason for a lot of the strange shapes on Mars.
