Finished building my new 180 size 4 inch props KISS quad.
Testflight:
Was a bit of a bumpy flight sometimes, it was quite windy, and PIDs are stock so still need some tuning. Glad the KISS stuff was not damaged by that awful crash a while back, it was so wet I was almost convinced it was destroyed. Needs a little work still, but overall this little thing flies fantastic.

Great to know the kiss stuff all works in the air again and seems to perform ok on stock PIDs. I thought it looks like an insect in the pic`s you posted very smart.

It does look a bit like an insect yes It also flies and sounds like one.
Upon further inspection I found I lost a screw on the bottom, also the stack of standoffs isn't as strong as hoped, was not sure how it would hold. Those plastic standoffs are no good for construction on heavier quads. Already found a solution how to fix it better without major changes to the design. Don't really like the stack of standoffs anyway, because it could be transferring vibrations from the battery to the flightcontroller.

Rebuild the KISS stuff again, this time I build it into a superlight 5inch quad with no place for a gopro. Though the 4 inch build flew fine, it was quite heavy. Also I had strong interference on the FPV feed, which I could not get rid of. Maybe the antenna was too close to the carbonfiber, or maybe something else, I could not solve it despite using a LC filter. On the new rebuild, using the same parts, the video is perfect, so it had to be components interfering.

Looks good, when do you plan on flight testing ? Will be interesting to hear your opinions on 5 inch verses 4 inch.

The 4inch I build, with gopro and 4s 1500mah, was too heavy to give an honest opinion. It flew pretty well, but all that weight was hard on the motors and made the quad fly like a brick. Think without gopro and with a smaller battery, the flying would be more comparable to the superlight 5inch it is now.

Been test flying earlier today. It went very good.
The video has quite some interference because I selected a weak channel on the recordingdevice. No other way then simply try a channel and see whats the result when I get home, and then select a different channel next time if the results are to bad. But for now it's good enough to see how the new build flew.

Seems to fly smooth enough but as you say, quite a lot of interference on video signal.
Maybe try taping some of that "moo" metal (dunno if that is correct) to the VTX.

Now with Runcam Split! And yes 2 cameras, the lower one provides FPV and OSD. The Split is running as flightrecorder only.
