ASU Sophia Project

Isn't this interesting...? Was wondering why they called Sophia the robot, Sophia.

I copied this little piece of audio from an old talkshow with Steve Quayle and Tom Horn.
Added the Sophia the Robot picture myself so I could upload the audio to youtube.
I used a pic of the robot, though they actually are different projects. Or are they?



Looked up the website of the Arizona University, and found a link to the page referring to the project. Only the page itself is no longer available.

So what does the naming of the robot to Sophia have to do with that ASU SOPHIA project and communicating with aliens or otherwordly entities?
