Think the SK8500 55" version of this one will be the best buy for the money I can spend.

I have been looking around a bit more and found a Samsung QLED for the same price, but that one is only a 49 inch screen. QLED is also very interesting, and Samsung is indeed pretty good too.
But think I'll first try to get the LG 55inch, and if I'm not impressed, I can send it back and switch it with the Samsung QLED. The LG is on sale atm €300 off, and in 2 days the price goes up to the point it's too high for my budget, while the QLED is the same price, but not as sale.
Now hoping they don't require couple of hundred payment in advance, cause than I'll have to save some money first.

It will be awesome once it is set up and there are no dead pixels. Finally can hook my pc up to the tv again, which I can't with the current one. Can't wait to try some 55 inch gaming or video editing, or even just watching tv.

Tomorrow the new tv will arrive.
Not sure if I will set it up right away, probably need to move some furniture around to give it a nice spot.

It has arrived! The TV is so big I may need to call somebody to help set it up. I don't think I'm going to hang it on the wall, maybe later some time.

Have you got it running yet ? they usually have auto-set to make it easy for you. I bet it will look huge to you at first

I haven't set it up yet, it is still in the box.
Probably going to try tomorrow, but it's so big not sure if I can do it alone.
It will be awesome playing a game on that big screen.

Hopefully I can do it tomorrow.
Been having terrible back/shoulder pain yesterday and today, couldn't even breathe normally. Woke up real early yesterday because the tv could arrive any moment, and decided to do some quick house cleaning in the meantime. Must have made a wrong move or something, though I didn't feel it happen, no idea how it happened exactly, but suddenly half hour before the tv arrived I started getting this nasty back/shoulder pain. Slowly improving now, but still must be careful, at some point it hurted so bad I could barely move.
At least I got enough time, 30 days to decide if I keep the tv or send it back.

Sounds like a trapped nerve m8,,,very painfull and you never know when they happen,it is usually a few hours later when the pain starts but luckily they do get better pretty quickly. Hope you get better soon buddy.

Thanks, feeling a lot better already, at least can breathe normally again and the pain is also much less. Trapped nerve could well be it, it's a weak point already, an old injury that never properly healed.
Once I was carrying a large glass window (2mx70cm,0,5thick) and got the cold wind on my back, that resulted in severe muscle cramp, but I kept walking. Even managed to carry the window up the stairs. After that my back was ruined for over a week, and even now 20 years later it still plays up sometimes.
I have this giant box standing in the middle of the room with this awesome tv inside, but I can't set it up. Think I'll manage when I feel better. Need to move some furniture around, including pc corner, to make it fit. So it's quite a lot of work before I have a place to put the tv. 55inch tv is too big to just unpack and mess around with.

Found a way to do it alone.
After I've moved the furniture and have a spot for the tv, I will turn the box upside down, mount the stand with the tv in the box, then rotate the box so the TV is upright, remove the box over the top, and finally remove the styrofoam.
But first need to get rid of this fucking back pain.

Yesterday finally my back was good enough to have a look at my new television. Was quite a struggle, but I managed to hang the TV on the wall. I had an old wallmount already, but it wasn't the right size, too small. But I used it anyway, after some modifications it fitted perfectly. It wasn't fun juggling with a 55inch screen, but in the end well worth it. Very pleased with the new screen, and no broken pixels. I have no reference with other new TV's, but I'm very impressed with the image quality. Haven't hooked the pc up yet, this will be the next thing to do.

It's not that bad, already felt better after the TV was hanging.
Also very nice is while this tv is 4 times bigger than my previous, it uses only 45 Watts vs 65W from the old one.

Hooked my pc up to the new television, and it even does 1920x1080 at 120hz!
Really nice

Very happy it does 120hz, it's great for games. Now considering to do all my gaming on the new television.
Played some Trackmania earlier today, and it was pretty awesome. I noticed no input lag, but this was with gamepad, not tried mouse and keyboard yet.
