Joshua Bardwell introduced the Emax Interceptor FPV Racing car on his livestream today. Could not find a review yet, but could find another video of a similar model that shows how it looks and works. Always had the idea it might be fun to try driving a RC FPV car.

Maybe I'll try it, if not too expensive.

50€ not very expensive.

Or should I get a bigger one, and put a camera on that myself.

There it is..
Now I can see what kind of transmitter it comes with, I don't think I'm getting this one. I don't like the standard transmitter for rc cars with trigger and wheel. Rather use the Taranis or a gamepad style controller. The view while driving looks pretty good, but wish the camera had image-stabilization or a gimbal.

Looks okay on a flat floor.
Can imagine this is fun on a selfbuild track.
I remember from when I was a kid you had these wind up cars, or electric ones, and a variety of track parts. Would be awesome if they made the same kind of track parts for this thing, so you could race loopings and stuff in fpv.

Could easily build a FPV mini race car for less than €20 yourself, instead of paying €50 for that Emax car.
RC Car €11 : https://banggood.app.link/93lhdQ3G01 FPV camera/vtx €9 : https://banggood.app.link/iYDvrvwH01
I still have a camera/vtx combo lying around somewhere, so only need to buy a rc car. Maybe I'll buy a cheap rc car from the local store here, and put the camera on that. Only need some sticky tape and solder the cam's wires to the battery contacts and it will work.
