    Had probs at first kept getting error 99 message then realised
                        dam canon batterie was dead def need a new one....

Congrats.    Can make some awesome landscapes with that lens, specialy with pola+IR filter and cloudy skies. For that price I wouldn't care about the faulty AF either.
