New quad passed flight checks at last, just need batteries now as my stash of old ones won`t hold a charge for long. Also built up my old GepRC leopard feame with a DalRC. Vid of Moka Jadina frame with Dal.

Awesome, congrats!
Motors staying cool this time?
Old baterries will be fine once you start flying with them. When throttling down, power restores quickly, they will last longer then when hovering constantly. But more batteries is always better ofcourse. 10 batteries is about an hour of flying. With changing batteries inbetween, it easily becomes 2 hours of being out the house.
Can't wait for your first testflight video

Fixed hot motors,it was a short from two motor wires touching on the ESC,just one of those real fine strands had untangled and laid over. The motors spinning wildly problem was not Dshot 1200 as i first thought,,after much testing of settings it turned out that the permanently enable airmode option in betaflight was causing it whenever it was set to on,no idea why it would cause that but it does.

That's nasty. Those wires can be so thin you hardly notice them. But good you found it.

It's not easy to explain how airmode exactly works. Airmode tries to keep the quad 'in the air'. Without it when you throttle down the props stop spinning, and the quad tumbles out of the air. 9 out of 10 times the spinning motion of the props will keep the quad level. But as soon as 1 of the props stops spinning due to the wind or a flip, the blade stops rotating (does not spin up by itself, unless you add throttle) and the quad loses control. Airmode is to prevent the props from having a dead stop mid air. Airmode detects throught the gyro if the quad is in motion, and automatically adds a little throttle, just enough to keep the props spinning, and thus maintain control over the quad.
When you arm the quad with airmode enabled, the gyro detects small vibrations and tries to compensate, that's why the motors act weird. Normally when you're going to fly and you arm with props on, you immediately add throtle and lift off, then it isn't much of a problem.

Hehe, it often impresses me, how with a little work man can change the surrounding world. Create from all them little petty tings theese flying automatons.
btw. I don't see any marks or stains on carpet. This is also gud stuf. Happy easter!
