Cymatic universe

I know when looking at the stars, you are seeing the light through or reflected on Earths atmosphere, but when looking at these close ups it does look like more then just a ball of glowing gas distorted by atmospheric disturbance.

I looked up several videos shot with different cameras/locations, they all show about the same. That last video is really strange. :
