Considering to buy one, ..when they're back in stock. A week ago they were still available, and I was thinking to buy yes or no, suddenly completely sold out everywhere. Now looking at reviews and userexperiences to find out what kind of issues people are having with the headset.

Incredible... waited a week for the thing to get in stock again. Been checking out vids on youtube for information and possible issues. Finally today it's back in stock, yay, so I was making a last consideration to go with or without PC-link cable. The original Meta cable only has MiniUSB plugs, but my pc doesn't. So I would need to get an adapter, or just get a thirdparty cable, which is cheaper anyway. I decided to get it without cable and buy a thirdparty one later. Literally just about to place the order... and then this video showed up:
Apparently the battery drains faster than it recharges even when it is connected to the PC or batterycharger. Even when using a USB cable the headset relies on the battery for it's power. I hoped the cable would maybe bypass the battery, but nope. And despite the battery is being charged when connected to USB, it is still empty after an hour or 2-3. FFS now I don't know what to do, I still want to get one, but this battery issue is really shit.

Figured out that all I need is a cable like the one below. It can link to the PC and attach to the charger at the same time. It may not work perfectly as some users report, but will find out for myself. As I didn't want to not do it I just bought a Quest 3.
5m Link Cable for Oculus Quest 2, with Separate Charging Port for Ultra-Durable Power, USB 3.0 Type A to C Cable for VR Headset Accessories and Gaming PC

Woohoo! It has arrived. Still need to buy a good cable though. Thought of getting the original Meta Link cable, but it's just a normal USB cable that costs €100. And my pc doesn't even have a MiniUSB port, so I would need an adapter for that also. Alternative cables cost around €30, including that special cable with the build-in chargerport. I could turn on the wifi and use that to try out the headset, but going to run most stuff from the PC anyway. Now I only have to wait a couple of days more till I have a cable.

lol I only just opened the box to check out the headset. It looks and feels pretty awesome. Like good quality. But the smell is not as good as a new Nintendo or PS.
