| Nice, oldfashioned wooden glider. Lot of precise sawing and filing. Would be cool to try printing the parts with a 3d printer, though not sure if the plastic would be light enough. Best flight: 7 min 56 sec and distance 22 miles That's pretty amazing, but how will you find it back if it goes that far? | |

| Looks like a lot of work. And also patience, cause it has to dry often before you can proceed. Did the parts come prefabricated or do you saw them yourself?
For the colors I would make one half white, airbrushed to aluminium grey. With some official looking decals and high gloss finish. You could go all apeshit on the paintjob and paint realistic popnails.
Are you planning to fly it?

| 1. Yes a lot. 2. I cut them all myself, all angles and curves, and it is not perfect. I would better use 3d print.. 3. Alu color looks cool, white too. Glossy? nice 4. Ape shit? Do you mean like all with banana stickers? - hehe, - when made good, will be funny. 5. I can plan, but you know... to plan is not everything | |

You could go bananas instead of apeshit. - Quote :

Wow that's nice, very difficult to do that perfect. With that many parts simply finishing the plane and making it look good is an accomplishment by itself. Curious how you're going to cover the wings, are you using paper for that? Would heat shrink film not be better and easier?

| It's pretty large compared to that stool, bigger then I thought. How are you going to paint it, spraypaint or brush? Good idea using strips of paper for the wing, had not thought of that. Guess it prevents the wing from bending when the paper dries. | |

| For now just hairspray or clearcoating or just varnish, color? yes aluminium would do really good, but for now i just make it water proof. Than later maybe some alu spray. | |

For spraying it's better to do 10 superthin dry layers, then 1 or 2 wet ones. But you probably already know this. Is this the first model you build, or have you build others before?
