Made this video for Banggood. It's a bit out of focus, but watchable.
You can see how the current sensor keeps counting up, till twice the amount mah in the battery(then I stop filming), while the battery itself stays at the same level. I doubt I messed up the soldering, I'd expect smell, smoke, sparks or a nonflying quad at least, if this was the case.

Strange indeed, could it be betaflight incompatible with that FC`s current sensor ?

Good question. Since it appeared to be activated by default in Betaflight, I assumed it would be. But when I looked around on Banggood and read the comments at the bottom of the productpage, I found this:
Q :Current sensor? A : No, it doen't have built-in current sensor. Beantwoord door Caca op October 31,2017
Still I wonder why it is registering something. But alright I can safely turn that option off then. Though I already have tested with the current sensor disabled, the problem persisted. Think I will first rebuild the quad again for further testing before contacting banggood, which I had not done yet. Will remove that vid from my channel since it is useless now.
The new batteries finally arrived, after almost 4 weeks waiting. These are XFPower 4S 850mah 70C. Small and powerfull batteries.
With all the troubles I had with the current sensor, I almost ordered a new FC+ESC combo, but I decided to give it one more try and wait till the batteries arrived. I rebuild the quad, this time without the Split. Today I went out for testing, with the new batteries, not expecting much improvement. But it flew fantastic, the new batteries make a great difference.
I was already suspecting the 3S 500mah 45C batteries might not be good enough, actually had I known better I would not even tried flying with them. But I was impatient, wanted to test anyway, and completely forgot about the fact the batteries are not compatible with this quad's setup. Also the old and worn 4S 1300mah 70C battery I tried, was just too old, big and heavy to get good results.
There probably wasn't anything wrong with the build at all.
Will leave the heavy Runcam Split on my other quad now, and eventualy buy a Split Micro for this one.
Now I can spend the money on more batteries, instead of a new FC.

Seems to fly great. Still a lot of interference on video signal.

Yes it flies pretty awesome, just bought 9 more batteries to celebrate. At just over 6€ per battery, that's not too bad vs about 20 per battery for a 5 inch quad. Thinking I will be flying this 3inch a lot more then the 5 inch now. It flies about the same, little better actually. It's speedier, more nimble, can fly in smaller areas.
The videosignal is not bad actually, got a good channel for once. Unfortunately I'm sitting right behind a tree which causes a lot of interference. Inside the goggles(at 60fps) it's not as bad as the video(at 25fps), but certainly noticable. Also youtube videocompression really fucks up the quality of the already lowquality DVR videos. For recording I'm planning to get a Runcam Split Mini.
This little quad is ideal to fly in public spaces. It's small size makes it less threatening for other people and it's surprisingly quiet. Yet it almost flies the same as a 5 inch quad, and just as fast.
Can't wait to get a Split Mini for this little quad, it flies fantastic.
Screwed up the aspect ratio on this video, but the warp isn't too bad.

Looks nice but didn`t like the buzzing / humming sound.
Have to agree the buzzing intro takes too long. But couldn't find a better tune this time. Thought of the buzzing as a replacement of the missing motor/propellor sounds. I usually search between the free music that youtube offers with their upload features, check the option that only shows songs that are the same length as the video. Look for something that fits the video, and save it.
