just ordered the mavic zoom, though i really wanted the 1 inch sensor but the zoom is way more usefull to me than a better camera

Wow, now you can film with 2 Mavics at once.
That dolly zoom effect can make very awesome shots. Hope your going to take the time to look into photo/video-graphy a bit more. Can do so much more with that camera then just fly around and do orbits.
Any idea if the old Mavic batteries are compatible?

new mavic 2 batteries are way bigger than the old ones

Ah that's a pity, was to be expected.
Did some researching but indeed it's not recommended to try. Found out the new Mavic 2 batteries have 4 cells, instead of 3. Though the connectors appear the same, the old batteries are probably not powerful enough.
