Too bad he didn't try to recharge them after overdischarging them to the point they were completely empty.
That would have been real interesting to see. Wonder why he made that 'personal choice'...
He wasn't scared off by a little smoke and fire with the other batteries.
Maybe they can be recharged, but he was forbidden to do so by the batterycompany to not expose their technology to early.
Often people that do these public tests, work under strict rules by the company that provides them the test item.

Yeah this new battery tech looks really useful for things in the future.
