Airmode only works properly when you put it on a switch. Found this out after I started using a switch to ARM about a half year ago. Before that I did all the flying without airmode. Though I did have it enabled in Betaflight configuration tab, it just didn't work. Often causing the quad to tumble when throttling all the way down.
