Quote :
JPL engineers put together a drone race to find which is faster – a drone operated by a human or one operated by artificial intelligence. The race capped two years of research into drone autonomy funded by Google.
The drone was given a preplanned route, but all the steering and throttling was done without any input.

This is absolutely going to happen...drones flying around warehouses and mapping areas in places difficults for humans but also the military will be far ahead with this technology already I think. It`s the future,no doubt about it.

Once this AI learns how to fly, it will be able to fly a drone in ways almost unimaginable.
Imagine a drone doing a constant 1080degrees yaw per second, and rolling 1080degrees per second at the same time. Still being able to coordinate far superiour to a human. Making full throttle jumps any direction, back and forth, it would literally appear like a blur to human eyes.
